Tiahomai Henare-Heke is a dedicated Māori strategist and kaupapa Māori educator, specialising in cultural competency, Indigenous frameworks, and systems transformation. He brings experience across health, education, and infrastructure, embedding mātauranga Māori into strategy, policy, and programme design. He is also Co-Director and Cultural Consultant for Mai Raano, alongside his wahine, Te Waiariki.

 

Tiahomai holds the rank of Pou Ono (Tauira Tū Taua) in Te Whare Tū Taua o Aotearoa. His strengths lie in engaging whānau, iwi, and organisations in kaupapa that enhance well-being, identity, and cultural connection.

 

Outside of mahi, Tiahomai enjoys training in Kyokushin and exploring Te Taiao with his whānau, partner, and daughter—Mai Raano.
